I haven't seen the near buffy bashing, but both fandoms have moments of "WHAT". Plus, it's really just childhoods coming together, you know? Who was a greater figure in your childhood seems to be the sci-fi showdown.
Also, Scully doesn't have superpowers. You know this. Although, they are hot. Even if Scully isn't traditional hot.
