icons: 4x10 "revelations" - part deux

i think i got a bit... what's the word? oh yeah. obsessed with this show. *ahem* now, i know that i don't have to point out how awesome this episode is, but i had taken about 150 screencaps, and decided that they would make pretty icons for my batch two. i think i got to cap 60-something last night before i wisely gave into my pillow's advances and let it take me to sleepy land. {a wondrous place, i tell you}

anywho, got a couple of icons here that are out for me to fix the text so you could see them a bit clearer. plenty of variations, more so than last time, because photoshop keeps opening up and showing me all sorts of pretty filters, layers, etc. so please bare with me and my bsg-induced insanity.

now i know there was something else i wanted to say.... OH YEAH!

Ahaha :). I went through that phase both when I started BSG and when I started The X-Files. Though the BSG version lasted longer (and I didn't even ship A/R at the beginning! My watching didn't revolve around them! It was an incredible revolution!).

Oh, Laura was so totally smug in that scene. Even though, as one fan put it, she was treating Bill like he was three. I just thought she was being very tender :P. But she was totally like "...This? This is my man. You can't touch him, and if you don't like his being my man, you can take it and suck it. Because Bill is mine, baybee."

Lee, stripping? NEVER! But I read a comment on that moment, from someone's picspam, where there were all "Lee gets hyper and starts getting naked and screaming his feelings to the heavens, because that's what he does." And I totally loved the Unfinished Business shoutouts <3.

Oh, goodie! Something other than the infinite boredom of the slavery to capitalism! [/jaded] I'm glad I'm a student, because lucky me I don't have to enter the workforce yet.

Ooh, I like it :D. If I knew how to do CSS I'd totally use it for my own layout.

Hokay, well. For the graphic, you would have a cap of a solitary Galactica (all of the ship, not just a part, so you can tell which ship it is, but no Fleet in the surrounding space). I like the images from the miniseries, just as you zoom in on Galactica for the first time, maybe in the middle or towards the bottom of the icon (can you tell I have a VISION and only Photoshop is stopping me? :P). And then in this (http://famousfonts.smackbomb.com/fonts/battlestargalactica.php) font (or if you have one that's more like the main logo, with the small and unfancy letters for "Battlestar" and then the lines going out on either side, then feel free to use it), you would have the text "Battleshit Galactifuck" at the top. And then underneath it, or at the bottom, depending on how you position and crop the image, and what looks better, you would have this (http://www.dafont.com/font.php?file=friday13&page=1&nb_ppp_old=10&text=&nb_ppp=10&psize=m&classt=alpha) font, maybe at an angle or a slight angle, to make it look painted on rather than perfectly positioned and intentional, with the text "and the Hiatus of Doom". Feel free to cut off the edges of the end letters if you need to, to make it look like the "painter" ran out of room. Or don't, whatever looks better :D.

Think 60's or 70's B movie promos, and you've got sort of the type of image I'm thinking of.

Thar. I clearly have too much time on my hands, and not enough money to buy Photoshop serial keys :<.

There's obviously more to reply to on this. Mainly my shock over you KNOWING what it is that you want on this icon of awesome.

I think I got my bundle through journeyed.com. Pretty much if you're enrolled anywhere they can check with the school to make sure that you're a student, and thus qualify, no school ID required. :) Hey, I'm all for the struggling college student getting ahead, so you best believe I stocked up. :)
